The real version?
I learned how to build calm out of chaos and how to create systems that scale — whether you’re a small local shop or a multi-national org.
Then my wife and I built our own online business (digital products, memberships, coaching, ads management). I took over all finances, forecasting, modeling, and performance analytics — blending traditional accounting with marketing data, funnel metrics, and modern business models.
This combination is rare in the accounting world. Most accountants don’t know how online businesses work. Most business owners don’t understand financial strategy. I sit directly in the middle.
My career started traditionally:
Became a CPA at a tax firm and quickly became a Senior Accountant in tax and small business advisory
Controller for multiple subsidiaries
Corporate Controller overseeing $650M+ in revenue, $180M+ in assets, and teams across the U.S. and Canada
Managed a 25-person accounting/finance department and provided dotted-line leadership to 45 payroll staff
Led M&A integration, software implementations, and multi-million-dollar financing efforts
Oversaw $200M in annual payroll, ESOP administration, strategic planning, and full financial reporting cycles
